This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your teaching career in the UAE! Based in Sharjah this international school is only 20 minutes away from Dubai with the advantage of much lower living costs, making it popular amongst many ex-pats. Attractions in Sharjah itself include the beaches, the Qanat Al Qasba Arts Centre and the Blue Souk shopping area.

The school offers a British style curriculum and caters for an international population of students made up of over 46 nationalities. Since its founding the school has grown in size and reputation and has expanded its facilities to meet the needs of their current student population. These include a broad range of resources including a number of libraries, computer suites, gymnasiums, art rooms, science laboratories, media rooms and a swimming pool.

The successful candidate must be educated to degree level and will have a relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE or B’Ed. Experience of teaching the British national curriculum would be an advantage.

Regional Info:

This school is located in Sharjah, one of the United Arab Emirates. Sharjah borders Dubai and indeed, many people live in Sharjah due to the lower cost of living, and commute daily to Dubai. Attractions in Sharjah include the beaches, the Blue Souk shopping area, Qanat Al Qasba which is an Arts Centre and attractions centre including the "Eye of the Emirates" Ferris wheel. Sharjah is a "dry" emirate - there is only one pub but due to its proximity to Dubai, having a fun social life is never a problem.
