QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Candidate should hold at least a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong Applied Behavioral Analysis Skills (ABA); Must have Board Certified Behavior Analyst (B.C.B.A) certification
  • Consideration will be given to the following:

  • 1. references that indicate the candidate exhibits exceptional knowledge of

    students with autism and dealing with related behaviors

    2. college and graduate grades;

    3. evidence of organizational ability and knowledge of professional development

    4. communication and consulting skills;

    5. various life experiences that contribute to the candidate's overall qualifications.

    DESCRIPTION: The Behavior Analyst is responsible for assisting teacher, adminsitrators and, in some cases, parents, in addressing challenging student behaviors, particularly those related to Autism Spectrum Disorders. This position provides scheduled and ongoing porfessional development and coaching to teachers as well as onversight of teachers' development of Discreet Trial (DTI) programs for students.

    REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services or Supervisor of Special Education

    SALARY: negotiable depending on education and experience

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Behavior Analyst is responsible for assisting teachers, administrators and, in some cases, parents, in addressing challenging student behaviors, particularly those related to Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Behavior Analyst is accessible to all schools for crisis intervention, if needed, and to assist teams in developing Behavior Intervention Plans. This position provides scheduled and ongoing professional development and coaching to teachers as well as collaboration with teachers in development of Discreet Trial (DTI) programs for students. Summer school work expected.

    STARTING DATE: August 2018 or as negotiated
