POSITION INFORMATION:
Supervisor: Dr. James Maxlow, Technology Support Manager Employment Period: 12 months Employment Status: Full-Time Grades/Hiring Ranges: Specialist I: $15.97 -- $20.69 / hr
Specialist II: $17.39 -- $22.54 / hr
Specialist Sr: $18.98 -- $24.57 / hr Start Date: September 2018
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support and training to school-based personnel on a variety of computer hardware and software and related peripheral equipment and devices.
- Provides support to users on hardware and software utilized at assigned school; trains and educates users in current and emerging hardware and software technology; assists users in troubleshooting a variety of problems; may design, implement, and maintain databases.
- Installs computers and peripherals; integrates new hardware into administrative and classroom environments.
- Assists division-based support specialists in diagnosing and resolving network problems.
- Performs research and testing on new software and hardware to identify compatibility issues and anticipate user response and requirements; determines ways to optimize existing resources to meet user needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and considerable related technical support experience.
- Related professional certifications preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
