The Beacon City School District has an exciting opportunity to begin expansion of its elementary band instruction at the elementary level for Grades 4 & 5 in the 2018-19 school year and is seeking 1.0 FTE probationary teacher with the following qualifications to be part of it instructional team:

• Valid NYS Certification in K – 12 Music Education required.
•  Demonstrated knowledge and training in woodwind, brass, and percussion instrument instruction required.
•  3-5 years teaching experience with elementary age students andor beginning instrument learners, preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience in student and family engagement and innovative program development for instrumental music instruction, preferred.
•  Strong skills in collaboration, oral communication, and written communication skills required.
