Job Title: Assistant Site Coordinator

Department: Department of Extended Learning and Community Schools

L ocation: TELLER ELEMENTARY

Area: Northeast

J ob Type: Monday - Friday; Part-Time

H ours: ~ 30 hrs/week

S alary Range: $15.50 - $16.00/hr based on education and experience

Essential Functions and Objectives:

The Assistant Site Coordinator will plan and implement after school programs and support the Neighborhood Center Program Specialist in evaluation, data entry, program management and other duties as assigned.

-Provides educational instruction in assigned subject/topic areas;

-Delivers curriculum and supplemental materials for assigned class to school location;

-Coordinate and oversee staff and volunteers assigned to assist in classroom;

-Prepares pre and post tests for students and administers on a class basis;

-Evaluates and updates teaching materials as necessary;

-Provides curriculum and materials needed to support staff in a timely manner;

-Makes and documents weekly contacts with any student who has unexplained absences to discuss progress, offer assistance, and encourage retention.

- Supports the Program Specialist with other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in education, community, human services, or related field;

-Experience teaching adults

-Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task;

-Computer skills, with data base experience a plus;

- Flexible, self-motivated and dependable individual.
