POSITION SUMMARY:
The Non-Instructional Aide assist in all areas of the building to enforce school policy. Provides support to teachers and building administration in ensuring a safe and orderly learning environment. Maintains strict confidentiality with respect to information concerning students, personnel, and other administrative matters affecting the district.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provide assistance to areas within the school building including but not limited to the office, hallways, and restrooms
• Provide presence and coverage in the cafeteria by assisting and monitoring students during lunch period; assist with cleaning the eating areas, such as wiping down tables, at the end of lunch period; non-instructional computer assistance; clinical aide assistance and personal care services
• Provide supervision when students are outside at recess and inside during indoor recess by organizing activities and providing assistance when playing games; maintaining discipline and monitor student behavior
• Assist with supervising students before the school day begins and at dismissal to ensure transportation at the end of the day
• Provide coverage to the detention area and hallways as needed
• During fire drills or other emergency evacuation of the school, the aide assists in ensuring a safe and orderly exiting of the building
• Assist in the classroom at the direction of the teacher or administrator, when requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and Assistant Principal

Requirements: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Required?

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
Georgia PSC Non-Instructional Aide certification required; Para Assessment test or College coursework at a minimum of 60 semester hours, ? 90 quarter hours or 1, 000 clock hours or Associates or higher Degree. ?

Compensation: Salary Grade:?114

Salary Range: $21, 702- $32, 552

Work Year: 202 days
