   Accounting Operations Supervisor
This position reports to the Assistant Treasurer/Controller and supervises and oversees the administration for Payroll Services and Accounts Payable.
QUALIFICATIONS
Training: A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in
accounting and/or business or equivalent preferred
Experience: A minimum of three years in a finance office of a large urban school setting
preferred. Prior experience utilizing financial applications including Business Plus
desirable.

- Demonstrated record of providing successful leadership in a large complex highly regulated governmental setting prior experience in an urban school setting preferred
- Knowledge of current computer technology and integrated data base financial applications
- Evaluate and interpret complex financial data
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- SUPERVISES the administration of operations for Payroll Services and Accounts Payable
- COLLABORATES with the Assistant Treasurer to develop and monitor department goals and objectives emphasizing centralized oversight planning and direction to coincide with the District Strategic Plan
- COORDINATES the recruitment selection employment placement and discipline of all department employees
- ENSURES that District payroll and accounts payable service proposals programs and activities are in compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations and Board policies
- ASSISTS in the development interpretation and implementation of district financial policies and procedures
- REMAINS current on district plans and programs impacting District financial and budget assumptions and forecasts
- PREPARE ANALYZE and INTERPRET complex financial data projections and reports
- ASSISTS in the development and monitoring of the payroll and accounts payable budgets which emphasize efficiency and service
- DEVELOPS and IMPLEMENTS cost reducing programs and plans
- CONDUCTS in service training for accounts payable & payroll staff and district users of payroll & accounts payable software
- PERFORMS other duties as assigned
