   Job Title: Schedule E Assistant Athletic Director
Job Goal: To assist in the improvement and quality of our school-sponsored extracurricular athletic activities as well
as assist in the implementation of a successful extracurricular program.
Performance Responsibilities:
Assist in providing leadership and competency in the selection and assignment of athletic coaches and related
staff members.
Assist with responsibilities for the organization and scheduling of interscholastic contests.
Assist with maintaining up-to-date schedules, results, as well as upload data to the Internet as needed.
Assist with transportation of participants as well as making certain both players and coaches are aware of
regulations regarding travel by bus to and from away contests.
Assist with the process of purchase requisitions and orders, vouchers for game officials, etc., in a timely manner to
insure the proper and professional management of financial obligations.
Attend all required meetings relevant to the athletic program.
Assist with the maintenance and inventory equipment and supplies for the athletic program. Insure that all
equipment used by team members and coaches is certified as safe and appropriate for that activity.
Assist with verification of athlete's eligibility according to the requirements of both the Ohio High School Athletic
Association (O.H.S.A.A.) and the Cincinnati Public Schools.
Assist with supervisor of ticket sales and fund-raising activities conducted on behalf of the athletic program and
assume responsibility for proper handling of funds.
Assist with coordination, cooperation, and participation of coaching staff and school administration, seasonal award
ceremonies and other player recognition functions.
Assist in the development of the athletic program of the CPS in cooperation with the District Athletic Manager.
Assist with the athletic program and provide recommendations for improvement to the Principal and/or the District
Athletics Manager.
Assist to insure that all members of the coaching staff possess the required state certifications and assist with
keeping accurate and accessible records of this information.
Promote the athletic program throughout the school to encourage student participation and improve school spirit.
Know and implement fully the policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the Board of Education of the Cincinnati
Public Schools and the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Principal or his/her designee.
Skills/Essential Functions:
College degree desirable as is experience in an office or athletic administrative related field.
Knowledge of recordkeeping procedures.
Knowledge policies and procedures of CPS and Ohio High School Athletic Association.
Ability to provide superior customer service with emphasis on communication.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work without direction and anticipate needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and all other software required by the school.
Possess strong planning and organizational skills.
Demonstrate effective communication skills, both in oral and written form as well as be knowledgeable in the operation of a personal computer.
Show ability to work with a diversified population and exhibit a high degree of personal and professional initiative and be able to complete the required tasks and assignments without close supervision.
Certification/Training: Evidence of successful past coaching experience at the high school or college level is desired. Provide a satisfactory result on a County Police Records check, State BCII, and FBI fingerprint Background Check. Possess an Ohio Department of Education Pupil Activity Permit. Provide proof of current C.P.R., First Aid, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussions, and Fundamentals of Coaching Certifications.
