Additional Information

We adopted EL Education as our resource for literacy. EL respects the needs of primary grades students, "Young children learn through rhythm, ritual, and repetition; learn through play; want to belong to a community that is safe, beautiful, safe, and good; explore the world; understand the world first through their bodies; seek independence and mastery; thrive in the natural world; use stories to construct meaning; seek patterns to make meaning; construct their identities and build cultural bridges; and express themselves in complex ways." EL literacy occurs through: module lessons (which includes all students in general education), Skills/All Block which could include an interventionist working in the general education classroom, and Labs. We are seeking a candidate that partners well with a variety of teaching styles and who is committed to an inclusion with minimal pullout. As a staff we value collaboration, teamwork, and working alongside each other to meet our student's needs.
