  High School Athletic Trainer

This is a non-contracted position under Agreement for Services only with no benefits. This part time 25 hours per week.

Job Description:
Athletic Trainers are responsible for evaluating, treating, and advising high school athletes on their physical condition for participation in athletic competition.
Athletic Trainer positions are part-time, working approximately 25 hours per week covering home athletic events and practices. Candidates must be available to work both after school and weekend hours.

Job Duties: Working under the direction of the Athletic Director to:
* Carry out activities in the following areas: prevention, evaluation, emergency treatment, physical
reconditioning, and rehabilitation of injuries.
* Ability to provide daily prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of all athletic injuries.
*Ability to provide emergency care
* Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and ability to apply appropriate treatments to student athletic
injuries.
* Provide practice and game coverage for high school athletic programs.
* Ability to assist in the instruction and supervision of athletic training student aides.
* Maintain records for all athletes and athletic injuries.
* Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
* Excel in communication with student athletes, parents, coaches, administration, and team physicians.
* Develop and maintain a budget for the athletic training program
* Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
* Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:
Current Certification by National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
Certification Registered with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
Current Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED)
