    Title: Computer Based On-Line Learning Mentor

    Qualifications:

    *Knowledge of relevant applications of academic principles.
    *Knowledge of academic principles used in vocational courses and co-curricular
    courses.
    *Ability to form positive professional relationships with academic, vocational
    and co-curricular teachers.
    *Ability to work with individual student needs.
    *Strong organizational skills.
    *48 College Credit Hours or the ability to pass a State Approved Assessment
    within 90 days of employment.
    *Working knowledge of Microsoft office Suite Software, Working in Windows
    and a fairly high level of computer skills.

    Reports to: Supervising Teacher

    Supervises: Students.

    Basic Function/Purpose
    To provide mentoring, progress monitoring and supervision for students who are assigned
    to Computer Based On-Line Learning Courses.

    The employee performing the duties of this position is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, bend, stoop, and reach. The employee may be occasionally required to manually lift, move, or carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to interact with staff and meet the demands of several different people. The employee is responsible for the work output of others. The employee occasionally works extended hours. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    6. Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
    Performance/Responsibilities:
    1. Monitor and document daily student progress and performance for computer on-line learning.
    2. Assess and conduct placement tests for Title I-D funding.
    3. Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive classroom and learning environment in accordance with Safe and Civil Schools.
    4. Print student course completions reports and provide to the Information Systems Coordinator on a weekly basis.
    5. Provide students with appropriate MTSS tiered support for student's struggling with their online academic courses.
    6. Collaborate with staff and counselors concerning student progress and needed supports.
    7. Assist supervising teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment.
    8. Other duties as assigned by supervising teacher.
    9. Complete correspondence and mailers for student performance.
    Term of Employment: 9 months

    Salary Range: Pay will range from $14.09 to $15.09 per hour

    Evaluation Frequency: Job performance will be evaluated a minimum of one time per year.
