Summary:The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the compliance of the company's group health and welfare and retirement programs. Expected activities include developing and managing communications related to benefit programs, vendor management, eligibility and file management, and enrollment management. This role works closely with HRIS, Payroll, Finance and HR Business Partner teams in the performance of their responsibilities.
AS A/An Benefits Analyst, YOU WILL..
  • Researches and resolves issues and errors related to data transfer from HRIS to K12 benefit providers;
  • Develops and maintains communication materials that are compliant with regulations and highlight the value proposition of the programs;
  • Manages enrollment and eligibility processes, including HRIS set up and vendor interfaces to ensure a positive employee experience alongside accurate and timely update of information to vendors, payroll and finance;
  • Develops, maintains and delivers training for other HR team members to ensure that general employee questions are addressed quickly and accurately;
  • In collaboration with other HR team members, defines and executes against an escalation path for resolution of advanced benefits questions or problems;
  • Ensures plans are compliant with local, State and federal regulations, including timely and accurate completion of all required government filings and distribution of required participant plan disclosures;
  • Establishes and executes audits of all benefit plans to ensure compliance and support timely payments to vendors;
  • Assists with benefits open enrollment set up, testing, communication and maintenance;
  • Manages vendor relationships and assist with vendor selection and implementation projects;
  • Identifies opportunities for continual process improvement.

Requirements Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field AND
  • Three (3) of benefits administration/analysis experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of benefit regulations, including health care reform (Affordable Care Act - ACA), HIPAA, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proven ability managing vendor relationships
  • Proven success managing the benefits enrollment and eligibility processes for an employee population of over 5,000 employees
  • Focus on customer satisfaction
  • Must be able to work some evenings/weekends - as needed by management and client groups
Other Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio; Intermediate to advanced Excel user.
  • Experience with benefit module(s) of HRIS applications such as Ultimate Software, Workday, Oracle, etc.
  • Web proficiency
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
