Company Background Information:

3Doodler, the world’s first 3D printing pen, was launched in 2013 via Kickstarter, attracting 26,457 backers and nearly $3 million through crowdfunding. The initial product range grew to include more than 65 plastics, a range of accessories and special edition 3Doodler pens, including for MoMA and Urban Outfitters.

Starting in 2015, 3Doodler started to participate in education-based conferences like ISTE, understanding the potential of 3D printing and tactile learning across a number of subjects including Art, Science, Physics, Math and Technology.

In 2016, to attract a broader consumer base, 3Doodler launched three new pens: the kid-safe 3Doodler Start, the latest version of the original 3D pen, the 3Doodler Create, and the 3Doodler PRO, targeting creative professionals, artists and engineers (as well as “prosumers”). New EDU bundles featuring both the Start and Create started to take off in classrooms, generating a substantial boost in business.

2017 saw continued growth for the company, as sales of 3Doodler pens exceeded 1.4 million units worldwide, making 3Doodler the best-selling 3D printing product of any kind, of all-time.

2018 will see a reimagined 3Doodler EDU range (3Doodler Start & 3Doodler Create+ Learning Packs) designed with teachers for their classrooms, and new Teacher Experience Kits, allowing educators to experience the product offering at a fraction of the cost of the classroom investment.
