BA/BS in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology, Exceptional Student Education, or Occupational/Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution. Three years experience as an ESE Teacher, Speech/Language Pathologist, or Occupational/Physical Therapist.

Qualifications/Certifications:
Assistive Technology Specialists provide support to students with disabilities, parents, teachers and district staff in the selection and implementation of assistive technology (AT). They also provide expertise and build capacity for school teams to provide timely and appropriate AT materials, devices and support services to students with disabilities who need AT to access the Florida Standards and curriculum.
Preferred/Desired:
' MA/MS Degree
' Experience with non-verbal students
' Experience coordinating and delivering professional development
' English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
REQUIRED: Florida Professional Educational Certificate or Licensure (as appropriate). Certificate in Exceptional Student Education, Florida Department of Health License in Speech/Language Pathology or licensed to provide occupational/physical therapy in the State of Florida. Valid Driver's License.
