    Applicant must hold a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist (K-12) license with a Transition to Work (TTW) endorsement or be willing and eligible to apply for a supplemental (TTW) endorsement. In addition, the applicant must commit to completing appropriate coursework to obtain the TTW endorsement if not already held. Must have valid driver's license and be willing to take district training to drive the school van. The Job Training Coordinator provides support and assistance to students who require intensive support in order to transition from school to the work environment. Experience working with and coordinating community-based experiences areas such as a greenhouse, garden, landscape or other related type of for-profit, student-run activity is preferred. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to developing, implementing and delivering the instructional program to meet the needs of students in Special Education in order to prepare students to enter the workforce after high school or post-secondary education and/or training. Teaches training classes and manages a variety of training work crews daily as part of Transition to Work (TTW) and Job Training Program (JTC) opportunities for students with IEPs and/or 504 plans. Observes work crews as necessary and monitor quality of work performed by crews. Establishes, maintains, and promotes a classroom atmosphere, which ensures the emotional and physical safety of students and emphasizes mutual respect, self-worth, self-discipline, cooperation, consideration, and responsibility. Works closely with other staff members and outside agencies to manage student work hours, maintain existing work opportunities and create new work opportunities for students, and manage income and expenses related to work crews. Follows and complies with all Special Education guidelines as outlined in the Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities.
