Performs a variety of professional mental health duties designed to promote the social-emotional development of all FCPS Pre-K students and coordinates comprehensive mental health service programs for children exhibiting challenging behaviors. Qualifications:
Master's degree in psychology or social work, professional certification in clinical social work desirable or enrollment in an approved program for licensure, and three years of experience as a social worker or psychologist, preferably in an early childhood/preschool setting; knowledge of psychological theory and practice as applied to the behavior and development of children; ability to apply knowledge to the needs and requirements of a public school system; ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with other professionals within the school and community; and skill in oral and written communications.
