A Child Nutrition assistant manager is responsible for all aspects of food production in the assigned school, keeping within sanitation, food costs, and scheduling guidelines. The following is a partial list of job responsibilities:

Responsible for following all USDA regulations.

Record production and operational data on specified forms.

Assist in planning and ordering all food, supplies, and small equipment.

Supervise the preparation of menu items according to production records, direction book and procedures manual.

Assist in planning, preparing and serving meals.

Control the inventory of food, equipment, small-wear, and report shortages to designed personnel.

Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements.

Assist with training workers in food preparation, services, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Resolve customer complaints regarding food service.

Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures in order to ensure quality standards and service.

191 days per school year. Requirements are to be a high school graduate or have a GED. Must be able to pass an FBI/DHS background check and must have a valid Arkansas driver's license. Previous experience with quantity food preparation and services preferred.
