POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director (Resource Strategy) will be responsible for analyzing school funding allotments and school outcomes to determine the return on investment (ROI). The incumbent will need to be able to synthesize large amounts of data and information and present findings to our principals, executive leadership team, board members and the community. The Director is expected to make recommendations to adjust funding strategies, whether that be deeper investments or through sun-setting ineffective programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Collaborate with senior district leadership and principals to identify key initiatives for evaluation as it relates to charter system flexibility.
  2. Collaborates with multiple central office departments to accurately and efficiently collect financial data for analyses.
  3. Perform ROI analyses to inform senior leaders of initiative effectiveness.
  4. Lead the district's Balanced Scorecard of Charter System Flexibility; meet with stakeholders to select measurable and improvement-oriented metrics and goals, record and advise on strategies for achieving goals, and manage the tracking and reporting of indicators including financial metrics.
  5. Work in partnership with the Data + Information Group to collect, analyze, and evaluate student achievement measures.
  6. Solicits and organizes information for those coordinating assessment and data analysis trainings.
  7. Plans and delivers training to senior central office leaders and school leaders.c
  8. Conduct financial data analysis for forensic exercises to aid in accountability decisions.
  9. Verification and reconciliation of state reporting and accountability.
  10. Collaborating with senior district leadership and principals to identify key initiatives for evaluation as it relates to charter system flexibility.
  11. Collaborating with multiple central office departments to accurately and efficiently collect financial data for analyses.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of quantitative methods and statistical methodologies for ROI analysis.
  • Expert analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines is a requirement.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Usage of principles and practices of sound business communication, correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to own complex and challenging processes with minimum guidance and oversight.
  • Ability to successfully deal with all persons in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate correspondence, reports and other written materials.
  • Ability to organize, set priorities and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain complex and confidential records and files.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, C-level Executives, Board Members, parents and public at-large.


Requirements: EDUCATION:
  • Master?s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, finance or other appropriate field.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Seven (7) years of experience working with Senior Leaders.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in project management and data analysis.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in finance preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience working for a government agency preferred.


Compensation: SALARY GRADE: 137
SALARY RANGE: $92, 133 to $126, 683
WORK DAYS: 254 Days (Annual)

FLSA Status: Exempt
