Description:
  • Revise, write and develop the District Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum under direction of Coordinator for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.
  • Responsible for helping develop curriculum based on Colorado Academic areas for various content areas.
  • Help write aligned test items for the District developed assessment program using the Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum.
  • Responsible for varied projects depending on their content expertise, including scanning assessments, scoring assessments as well as working with the administration of performance assessment in schools.
  • Must have ability to lead small groups of teachers or consultants to accomplish time-sensitive tasks.
  • Needs to work in a highly effective team, manage time effectively, be highly organized and have an understanding of several computer applications pertinent to curriculum and assessment development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master' Degree or equivalent advanced training in content area preferred.
  • Experience/training in ELD preferred.
  • Experience in teaching at the grade levels requested in description above or related work experience or content expertise.
  • Valid Colorado Teaching License or related documented expertise.
  • Requires ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Possess or be eligible to receive Colorado Teaching License with appropriate endorsement.
  • Candidate must be endorsed in the content area, passed the PLACE or Praxis test in the content area, and/or have 24 semester credits in the content area to meet ESSA "highly qualified" status.
  • Transcripts required.

For the purpose of these Rules, credits shall be in semester hours or may be interpreted as meaning the equivalent in quarter, trimester, unit or term.
