LEARNING SPECIALIST/SPED TEACHER, LONG TERM SUB

Job Description

Community Day Charter Public School is currently accepting applications for a Special Education long term sub for the elementary level. The position will be held for the months of September through November, 2018. Responsibilities include teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities across all disciplines. The candidate will also need to administer testing, write reports, participate in team meetings; and IEP development. Collaboration with related service providers, other special educators and classroom teachers will be essential. The successful candidate will possess excellent skills in instruction, organization and communication. Certification as a Special Educator is desired.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive compensation package and comprehensive health benefits. There are also opportunities for teachers to earn stipends for work in after school programs and during school vacations.

Bachelor's degree is required at a minimum
  • A valid Massachusetts Teaching License for the appropriate grade level;
  • An ability to meet all state and federal guidelines in order to be fully licensed and "Highly Qualified" according to NCLB
