Summary : The Learning Site Coordinator manages blended learning partner sites under the guidance of the Academic Administrator, Blended Learning Programs and provides services that meet students' needs while also ensuring compliance with local, State and federal laws.



Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities : The below State ments are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. · Manages the blended learning partner site; provides direction, develops and implements processes, and enforces work site rules governing staff as evidenced by:

o Creating and maintaining a positive classroom environment;

o Applying classroom management techniques as required;

o Conferring with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems at the blended learning site;

· Ensures that the blended learning partner site is meeting the needs of students while complying with local, State , and federal laws; ; and performs in-take function helping orient newly enrolled students to programs and services as evidenced by:

o Functioning as a secondary Learning Coach working with students individually or in groups providing supplemental instruction;

o Providing assigned modifications and accommodations on-site for students who have active Individual Education Plans (IEP);

o Collaborating with the teacher and parents in tracking student progress, making sure to share insights gained from working individually with students;

o Attending parent/teacher/student conferences and providing assistance as necessary to discuss academic progress;

· Participates in marketing, retention, and local outreach school-wide and/or local initiatives, such as attending and/or hosting events; p articipates in training events working with base personnel, students, and families (for Military Site Coordinators).
Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications
:

· High school diploma or equivalent AND

· Sixty (60) credit hours at an institution of higher education OR

· Associate's degree OR

· Pass a formal State or local academic assessment verifying mastery of rigorous quality standards

Certificates and Licenses : None required unless stipulated by State .

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Willingness and ability to promote and facilitate a positive school environment by making students accountable in following all school and classroom rules and policies

· Strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities

· High degree of reliability

· Ability to pass required background check

· Ability to obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ and where applicable)

· Ability to obtain required credentials for accessing military bases (Military base locations only)

Preferred Qualifications :

· Bachelor's degree in Education or other related field of study

· Previous experience teaching and/or working with children
