QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in an IT related field.

Associate Degree in Technology preferred.

Formal training and experience with personal computers and network -hardware and software support.

Knowledge of and experience with basic productivity software; word processing, spreadsheet, database.

Experience in assisting others to represent related training.

Is open to critique and constructive feedback and is willing to change.

Valid PA Driver's License required and must have the ability to report on time to various locations based on need.

Regular attendance is required.

Other qualifications to the above that the Board may find acceptable and appropriate.

REPORTS TO: Helpdesk Supervisor

SUPERVISES: Not applicable

JOB GOAL: In a collaborative and supportive manner, provide the technology support required to ensure student success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist in the setup and installation of District devices and attaches devices to existing network, where applicable.

Perform troubleshooting functions on District devices and reports findings to supervisor.

Assist in the enforcement of technology standards.

Assist with ensuring data integrity and security.

Interact with District devices and network users to help problem solve technology concerns.

Perform hardware repairs and part replacements on District devices as necessary.

Train technical staff at the building level to follow proper operating procedures necessary to maintain the integrity of the District's IT infrastructure.

Identify trends in user issues, hardware and software problems and facilitate solutions

Document trouble-shooting procedures for District users to access in an FAQ and also document internal IT procedures.

Perform District software trouble-shooting where applicable.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Work productively with Technology Department as part of a fluid, dynamic, and flexible cross departmental team.

Bring technology issues to the forefront with a problem solving orientation.

Setup of network printers.

Assist in the development and instruction of technology staff development programs.

Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full year

EVALUATION: For new employees, evaluations will be performed according to the current collective bargaining agreement. For transferring employees, evaluations will be done at 30 days.

All regular employees will be evaluated at least yearly.

Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. and carrying a distance of up to 200 feet.
