    Role Summary
    This position exists to provide critical support of Cincinnati Public Schools IT applications that enables student learning and the education of students by teachers and administrators. IT applications supported include, but is not limited to, PowerSchool, Registration Gateway, Remedy Force. For qualified candidates, this position includes leading a team of Help Desk support specialists.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Training: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field
    Experience: Minimum of five years of technology experience, preferably in the field of education

    SPECIAL SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, AND EXPERIENCE
    • Minimum two years managing and providing second level support of PowerSchool that includes performing application and server upgrades, updating records, creating reports, creating data extracts, modifying databases, providing application training, creating user documentation, resolving application issues, and basic application support and administration.
    • Minimum two years managing and supporting RemedyForce for Incidents, Requests, Changes, Knowledge, and CMDB including implementation of forms and workflows, providing application training, creating user documentation, resolving application issues, and basic application and system support and administration.
    • Minimum two years managing and supporting Registration Gateway including performing upgrades, entering and updating records, providing application training, creating user documentation, resolving application issues, and basic application support and administration.
    • Minimum two years experience working in or managing a Help Desk environment.
    • Managing SQL and Oracle database and writing SQL queries is a plus.
    • Experience programming in the following languages is a plus: C#, ASP.NET, ASP, Visual Basic.
    • Experience creating and managing web pages and sites is a plus
    • Experience leading projects based on PMBOK principles a plus.
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
    This position will have the following job responsibilities:
    • Must be able to complete assignments on-time and to standards that ensure long term supportability and minimum down time.
    • Must be able to work on multiple projects at one time.
    • Must be able prioritize workload based on stakeholder and business needs.
    • Must be able to effectively communicate to non-technical people verbally and in written communications.
    • Must be able to clearly document technical work to ensure future supportability.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    EMPLOYMENT PROVISIONS
    Type of Contract: Limited - 261 day
    Salary: Associate II - Per CAAS agreement

    Note: A lead teacher in a position may not be appointed to an administrative position while serving as a lead teacher. A lead teacher may apply for an administrative position if the lead teacher resigns the lead teacher position prior to submitting an application, however, selection is not guaranteed. A consulting teacher may not be appointed to an administrative position while serving as a consulting teacher and for one full school year after serving as a consulting teacher.
