The Scarsdale Public Schools seeks exemplary candidates for the position of Interim Principal at Fox Meadow Elementary School. The school span grades K-5, and offers a rich and varied educational program, including Spanish language instruction beginning in grade 2, an evolving STEAM curriculum, and Maker Spaces. Fox Meadow has an enrollment of roughly 450 students, and an active, supportive parent body.

The Interim Principal will lead the talented faculty and staff during the 2018-19 school year only, as we anticipate a full search for the 2019-20 school year. We are seeking an educator with a demonstrated record of accomplishment as a Principal in a high-achieving elementary school. The successful candidate will:

• possess a thorough understanding of elementary level education and the development of young readers, writers, problem-solvers, and thinkers,
• provide instructional leadership, and shepherd the evaluation and improvement of educational programs,
• collaborate with the assistant principal, faculty, staff, students, and parents to promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that fosters mutual respect,
• model and promote critical and creative thinking,
• be a strong advocate for children,
• Hold SAS, SBL, SDA, and/or SDL certification.
