B TEAM SOCCER COACHES

Anticipated Vacancy: Our Albert D. Lawton middle school is searching for B Team Soccer Coaches for their boys' and girls' teams for their fall 2018 season. We are looking for committed individuals who will be able to coach soccer in a competitive and sportsman-like manner. A minimum of two years of middle level soccer experience (or equivalent) required. Experience working with middle school students preferred. Positions pay $1972 for the season.

All coaches must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate at the commencement of the sport season for which the person has been appointed to coach. Candidates must also meet the certification and training requirements of the VPA, which requires certification in Sports First Aid and Fundamentals in Coaching within one year of hire. Acceptable certifications include ASEP (American Sport Education Program) certification or NFHS (National Federation of High Schools). The VPA also requires coaches to complete the NFHS elective course entitled, "CONCUSSION IN SPORTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW." This is an online course that can be found at www.nfhslearn.com , and it is free of charge. All coaches must complete this 20 minute course before they can coach at the high school/middle school level in Vermont.
