Probationary TOSA Technology Integrator

Support professional development learning opportunities in collaboration with ICSD technology department staff and related resources. Apply Instructional Design models/principles to meet teaching and learning objectives. Uses a range of classroom impact and student outcome data to design and deliver district and embedded professional development which promotes:

1. Relevant and ongoing technology integration in all classrooms.
2. Increased student cognitive engagement and meaningful learning for all learners, including students with disabilities.
3. Co-teach and model best instructional practices and instructional technology usage in the classroom.

Facilitates the implementation of Digital Citizenship curriculum. Conducts research about advancements in technology tools and resources to inform decision-making. Collaborates with School/District Administrators, Teacher Librarians and staff to ensure infrastructure and tools are available to carry out school and technology initiatives. Provides leadership in developing and implementing technology plans and serves as part of the district technology department. May provide and/or coordinate technical support for students, teachers and staff.
Qualifications

• Current knowledge of research and best-practices relating to the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching Rubric, technology integration, SAMR Model, adult education and professional development.
• Evidence of strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with 1:1 instructional device teaching models, Google Apps for Education and digital assessment models.
• Demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skillsets involving instructional technology.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and teach adults.
• Occasionally the employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds when working with technology devices and equipment.
• New York State Permanent or Professional Teaching Certification required.
• Tenured ICSD teacher or certificate: Library Media Specialist, Technology Education or Educational Technology Specialist or (previously tenured in a school district and at least one successful year of experience as an instructional technology integration specialist.)
