Bangkok is a bustling city with lots of international Nursery and Kindergarten programs. This international school currently has Kindergarten, but are hoping to open a program as this will allow their school to grow.
We are looking for someone with a strong Early Childhood background to be our Early Years Coordinator and classroom teacher.
We are looking to open a program for 4-year-olds (what Canadians call Junior Kindergarten or Pre-K) and one for 3-year-olds (what Canadians call nursery school).
We hope to open these two additional grades in September 2019. Wanting to make sure we do a good job planning the program, we are looking for this coordinator to join us in January.
From January, they would work at helping design a suitable curriculum and discuss the needs of the younger years with our director and deputy director. There will be some basic construction on some existing classrooms/school spaces in order for these two grades to join us so we would love their input as well.
Our school also run various independent ESL camps for local students during the day during Thai school breaks, as well as Korean students here during their school breaks. The Early Childhood Coordinator, since they are coming in January would help teach this as well, in addition, to substitute teaching when a teacher is sick.
When September comes, this Early Years Coordinator would then teach one of the two new grades and also work closely with whoever is the nursery, Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers in order to make sure the younger years are going well.
While they are a Canadian school, they, of course, would accept anyone with an equivalent teaching credential from other countries such as the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, etc.
Salary will be in line with teachers' experience and qualifications and will be paid in local currency THB and package including flight allowance and medical insurance.
Further planned growth will provide enhanced facilities, and opportunities for children. It is their intention to develop a school which truly serves the local communities.
