    ***THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION, 29 HOURS WEEKLY***

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
    Employment Term: 10 months

    Job Goal: The ISS Support Aide generally functions under the supervision of the Principal, Behavior Specialist or Teacher and provides support in monitoring student behavior, school work and maintaining order. As an ISS Support Aide you are a full staff member and must abide by all, but not limited to, professional behavioral exceptions outlined in the Personnel Handbook. At all times you should act as a positive role model for our students.

    Essential Functions:

    Morning Duties
    1. Monitor students during the arrival process either in the bus area, playground or cafeteria
    2. Line up students to enter the building
    3. Provide hall monitor services, student escort to office, nurse, or bathroom facilities before and after lunches

    Lunch/Recess Process
    1. Insure students who need lunch are lined up according to the class list, and escort them to the cafeteria for lunch
    2. Separate students with bagged lunches and have them go directly to the lunch table
    3. Monitor students in line for lunch until they have been served
    4. Monitor student behavior during lunch
    5. Escort students to recess
    6. Monitor students during recess insuring safety and well being
    7. Escort students to classroom after recess
    ISS Support
    1. Redirect unsatisfactory behavior (make certain student is aware of the specific violation of the Student Handbook)
    2. Monitor all academic and behavioral assignments
    3. Contact parents regarding student violations
    Dismissal Process
    1. Escort bus students to buses or monitor students in the playground until they are picked up
    2. Assist with movement of students onto buses
    3. Other duties as assigned

    Job Qualifications:
    1. Experience working with Children
    2. Associate or Bachelor's Degree or successful completion of NCLB test
    3. Secure 3 background checks (PA State Criminal, PA Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprinting)
