Job Description
The Assistant to the Athletics Director will be required to provide administrative support in the effective administering of interscholastic sports.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant to the Athletic Director with assist in organizing and administering the overall program of interscholastic athletics for the school district including but not limited to:
Verifies student-athlete's eligibility according to established physical and academic requirements for participation in each sport as assigned.
Inventory supplies and equipment for middle and high school athletic teams.
Supervises high school sport contests as administrator and game day staff including post-season tournaments.
Assumes responsibilities of Athletic Director when necessary including on and off campus league meetings.
Coordinates transportation schedule for middle school and high school athletic teams.
Coordinates officials schedule and payment for middle school and high school athletic teams.
Updates and maintains athletics webpage for high school sports including writing press releases and features, edit scores and rosters.
Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by Athletics Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or equivalent. Experience working with students of a diverse background in academic, athletic or sports related environment
Terms: Maximum 18.5 hours per week, July 30, 2018 - June 7, 2019, not benefit eligible
Salary: $19,000
