SUMMARY:

Warner is seeking a 3rd grade elementary and (2) 4th grade elementary general teachers to create a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils; to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for elementary grade education, in accordance with each pupil's ability; and to establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support all district initiatives
  • Facilitate planning sessions to support teachers as they implement various research based instructional strategies
  • Support the School Priority Plan
  • Support the Building Leadership Team (BLT) initiatives
  • Provide and/or support building level professional development regarding curriculum, instruction, and assessment
  • Model use of Common Core State Standards
  • Support teachers in instructional planning
  • Model lessons
  • Observe lessons followed by coaching conversations (Non-evaluative)
  • Attend building faculty meetings/ PLC meetings
  • Assist with the implementation of district mandated curricula
  • Align curriculum between district guide and Highlands materials/needs
  • Analyze and interpret assessment data to inform classroom instruction and professional development
  • Assist with the development of common assessments
  • Assist teachers with understanding and using their formative and summative assessment data to inform practice
  • Assist with integrating technology into curriculum
  • Plan and implement math curriculum events for parents and the school community
  • Enhance teacher's sense of self-efficacy through coaching
  • Create and communicate a list of services to teachers
  • Collaborate with the math Curriculum Council member
  • Create a monthly one-page communication to staff
  • Maintain and submit to supervising administrator a monthly calendar of daily activities
  • Assist with school grant writing that aligns with overall district curriculum goals
  • Provide math support to students
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices in the field
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising administrator(s)


QUALIFICATIONS:

Dual Certification - Elementary General and Special Education (Preferred)

Delaware Advanced License

Delaware Continuing License

Delaware Initial License

Out of State Teaching License
