SUMMARY: Develop, implement, and support the district Educational Technology program and work closely with a variety of central and school-based teams ensuring successful implementation of educational technology resources for District staff and students. This position will lead professional learning opportunities for teachers and school-based administrators.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned
  • Support Jeffco's vision for educational technology.
  • Develop, facilitate, and manage online and face-to-face professional learning.
  • Effectively support District educational technology programs and teams related to school improvement and 21st century learning.
  • Successfully implement all parts of the Strategic Plan related to educational technology.
  • Respond to requests from articulation areas, schools, administrators, instructional coaches, digital teacher librarians, and other district professionals for professional learning and support.
  • Participate in problem-solving teams related to educational technology.
  • Work closely with school-based leadership teams, especially digital teacher librarians, to create lasting structures aimed at producing future professional learning opportunities and impactful technology purchases.
  • Lead, facilitate, and manage change related to educational technology to transform learning through relevant authentic learning experiences for students and staff..
  • Use Jeffco Curriculum to model future-ready teaching by creating authentic and effective opportunities for technology integration.
  • Support district work in the identification, selection, and implementation of educational technology resources, supporting district goals.
  • Communicate up-to-date information through Ed Tech social media.
  • Willingness to work a flexible work day/year, including select summer days and evenings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Colorado teaching license or certificate

    EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience, elementary experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years successful experience incorporating educational technology and information literacy into instructional practice.
  • SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EQUIPMENT: Must possess demonstrated skills in classroom implementation of best practices in instructional strategies, success in working with adult learners, working in collaborative team environments, and experience in blended and online learning.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work and/or support work across all grade levels K-12.
  • Ability to work with others on the Ed Tech team, as well as across content areas and departments.
  • Must have a broad understanding of state and district content standards including ISTE standards.
  • Utilizes excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of digital tools and demonstrated success in using technology and information literacy in instruction.
  • Ability to help others make sense of and adjust to change.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, school day, and school year.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to utilize data to guide planning and decision making.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience working with a variety of students and how educational technology can best support them within a MTSS framework.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how educational technologies can transform learning, support closing achievement gaps and create future-ready students.
