We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified SEN Teacher to join this successful and growing school in Quito. The role is due to start from January 2019 and will be to support students across our all-age school and develop an outstanding provision for specific needs. An excellent remuneration package is available.

The school is located in a beautiful area to the East of Quito and 20 minutes from the airport. The Early Years, Primary and Secondary sections are all on one campus, which has rich local flora and fauna - hummingbirds are daily visitors to most areas. The school has an ICT lab, science laboratories, art and music facilities, a cafeteria, playgrounds, swimming pool and a sports field. They have a central library with an auditorium area for assemblies and productions.

This school has already built its reputation on high quality and high standards and as such it has similar high expectations of its staff. The school therefore welcomes fully qualified, flexible, creative, child-centred teachers who will further enhance the quality of teaching and learning and also be prepared to contribute to the extra-curricular life of this busy school. Applicants are invited from teachers currently working in the UK maintained or independent school sectors and from those already posted overseas. Applicants must have a British passport, a relevant Bachelor degree from a reputable UK University, Qualified Teacher Status, with either a PGCE or BEd from the UK, a minimum of 2 years teaching experience and experience of teaching the English National Curriculum.

The historic centre of Quito has one of the largest, least-altered and best-preserved historic centres in the Americas and was the first World Cultural Heritage Sites declared by UNESCO in 1978.
