    Job Title: RtI Coordinator
    Work Year: 183 days - Will change based on hours and days for the 4 day work week for 2018-2019

    Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule
    Salary Range: $36,800 - $76,500
    Benefits: Fringe Benefits based on PEA Negotiated Agreement

    The Pueblo Innovation Zone consists of eight unique schools that provide some of the most challenging and rewarding work. We are seeking educators who are driven by a strong desire to positively transform the lives of students. Successful teachers will have the following characteristics:

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Valid Colorado Teaching License within 60 days from date of hire
    • Secondary Endorsement in one of the following content areas: Math, Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies or School Counselor or
    • Teacher must be highly qualified in applicable content area through the following options:
      • Endorsement on a Colorado teaching license
      • 36 semester credit hours applicable to content area
      • Passing score on a State Board of Education approved content exam (currently the ETS Praxis Series)
    • Employee must complete a fingerprint-based criminal background check and must be cleared by the Office of Human Resources
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
    • Support Innovation Zone Purpose, Vision, and Mission as well as the innovation components of the schools to which they apply (e.g.- STEM, IB, AVID, Blended Learning, etc.)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 3-5 years successful teaching as demonstrated by references, evaluations and student growth data
    • Previous experience with and ability to utilize data to make instructional/behavioral decisions
    • Willingness to sponsor extended enrichment activities
    • Knowledge of implementation and remediation of Math and Reading Intervention strategies
    • Writing professional development or willingness to attend professional development
    • Exhibit exemplary organization skills and flexibility
    • Ability to collaborate with other specialists and classroom teachers
    • Training and experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
    • Experience teaching at the middle school level
    • Experience with strategies that decrease inappropriate/defiant student behaviors

    JOB EXPECTATIONS:
    • Assist administration in supervision of In School Suspension (ISS) students as needed
    • Provide embedded modeling, mentoring and coaching in components of intervention strategies
    • Assist staff in the development and implementation of RTI plans
    • Provide professional development in regards to RTI components, strategies, and progress monitoring
    • Assist teachers in accessing student data to inform instructional practices, and group students
    • Participation in developing and implementing school improvement plan
    • Demonstrated exceptional classroom management skills
    • Possess a strong professional work ethic, problem solving ability, self-motivation, and ability to be a contributing member of a highly qualified staff focused on the mission of the school district
    • Willingness to score and interpret test results
    • Effectively support teachers in the new Risley International Academy of Innovation through the implementation of an IB-MYP education
    • Participate and be a contributing member of daily Professional Learning Communities
    • Maintain a positive professional attitude of excellence, collaboration, and unified process
    • Communicate frequently with parents
    • Believe in and promote the school's Discipline with Dignity approach to behavior support
    • Provide effective classroom management that is founded in Positive Behavior Support
    • Work to maintain the highest academic and behavior standards
    • Work to shape a school climate and culture that emphasizes excellence and quality work ethic
    • Embrace professional development as a personal journey which includes instructional collaboration, coaching, and mentoring
    • Provide necessary support to guarantee student success
    • Willingness to lead student building activities and work a differentiated day
    • Perform any other related duties that are outlined in the Innovation Plan or may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee

    NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
    • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by Building Administrators

    WORKING CONDITIONS: Employee will work primarily in a school/office environment with both natural and fluorescent lighting; fast-paced work; constant interruptions;
