  • COMMUNITY SCHOOLS PROGRAM COORDINATOR - ELEMENTARY
    Hiring Pay Range: $18.62 - $19.77 /hour
    Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or as needed (some evenings and weekends)

    Full-time, 12 Month, 261 days annually (Benefits Eligible)

    Definition:
    Under general supervision of the Elementary Enrichment Program Director, performs work of moderate difficulty developing, planning and coordinating elementary after-school programs.

    Essential Functions:

    Tasks
    Develop after-school, early release and summer programs. Coordinate elementary programming. Define class ideas and scope. Recruit and train instructors. Process instructor contracts. Organize and schedule classes for the school year. Coordinate physical resources. Develop and implement student attendance tracking procedures. Develop content for class brochures, create and distribute completed brochures. Accept and transmit fee payments. Occasional transport of students in district vans (on program related field trips only).

    Highly Desired Knowledge, Skills and Other Characteristics:
    Knowledge of approved CFSD elementary level curriculum.
    Knowledge of elementary level educational program design.
    Knowledge of CFSD policies and procedures regarding student program eligibility and registration.
    Knowledge of recruiting and retaining instructors.
    Skill in developing, implementing and coordinating elementary level after school programs.
    Skill in recruiting and retaining instructors.
    Skill in communicating effectively, orally and in writing.
    Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, administrators, students, parents and volunteers.

    Minimum Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree required. Experience in elementary education and one year of experience developing, implementing and coordinating an elementary education extension program preferred.

    Special Requirements:
    Experience, knowledge and comfort with coordinating special programs.
