About This Role…d expand current Partners.
As the Sr. Account Manager, you will be responsible for planning and leading regional Partner events throughout your assigned territory. You will be a thought leader and useful resource to administrators and site leaders. You should be able to work with small to large districts providing guidance on best practices for embedding assessment systems at all levels in a school district and establish long-term Professional Learning plans to deepen the use of data to drive instruction.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the ability to drive conversations around assessment data and how it can help drive district decisions. You should also possess knowledge of unique trends, legislation, and challenges in K12 education in the state of New York. You must be able to respond to Partner requests and problems with appropriate timelines and concern and proactively prepare cost proposals and update opportunities in SFDC. In addition, you should be able to manage Partners at all stages in the sales cycle and produce accurately and timely forecasts.
About the Partner Accounts, East Accounts Team…
NWEA’s Partner Accounts group is comprised of over 150 professionals whose mission is to reach state and local education agencies with our products and services. Structured in strategic teams, the Partner Accounts group is comprised of several teams including Major Accounts, Standard Accounts, State & Federal Government Accounts, National Accounts, International Accounts, Specialty Accounts, Sales Operations, Proposals team and Program Management. This role joins the East Accounts team under Standard Accounts.
The East Accounts team is responsible for public and private schools in the eastern half of the United States that range in size from 600 to 30,000 plus students. The right candidate will join a successful cohesive team of professionals with a proven track record.

• Ability to manage Partner relationships at all levels in a school district via phone, email, and face-to-face visits, maintaining a high level of Partner satisfaction
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to speak effectively with a range of education leaders as you introduce, demonstrate, and solve some of the key issues in schools and districts, as well as facilitate conversations around data and driving instructional change
• Demonstrated experience working with top level administrators in person and in virtual settings
• Ability to develop a retention and expansion strategy for a territory, and present NWEA’s products and services in a variety of meetings.
• Ability to meet personal and team goals, and work collaboratively with NWEA internal groups.
• Exceptional organizational, territory and time management proficiency to ensure Partner needs and issues are addressed.
• Effectively communicates the features, advantages, and benefits of NWEA Suite of Assessments
• Experience using online presentation tools
• Proven experience working in a collaborative environment providing win-win opportunities and a partnering approach to your Partners and the entire East Accounts team.
• Must reside in the state of New York with ability to travel up to 30%
• Ability to manage sales and pipeline through SFDC.
Education and Experience…
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business or a related field is required
• 3 to 4 years of account management experience
• Sales experience within the K-12 education market highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining Partner relationships
• Must possess attributes necessary to master consultative sales skills and the ability to translate Partner needs into NWEA solutions
• Deep understanding of K-12 education industry; familiarity with curriculum and assessment methods highly preferred
• Experience with NWEA products and services is highly preferred
