Endeavor College Prep is a transitional kindergarten through eighth-grade charter school serving the historically underserved neighborhood of Boyle Heights. Among our early accomplishments are a 2012 California Distinguished School Award and a #8 ranking in USC's 2013 list of top charter schools in the state. Our student population is 100% extraordinary, 97% Latino, 95% free/reduced lunch, 38% English Language Learners, and 14% of our students receive special education services. Our team is made up of a highly collaborative group of teachers and staff who share a passion for closing the achievement gap. We use a co-teaching structure in elementary grades and team teaching in middle grades, modeled after the successful Uncommon Schools and Achievement First schools on the east coast. We have high expectations for academics and discipline, and simultaneously value joy in the classroom, making learning fun for our scholars and teachers. In September of 2017, we moved to a new, beautifully renovated campus in Boyle Heights just across the LA River from the Arts District.

Position Summary

Under the Direction of the Director of Operations, the Compliance and Student Data Manager is responsible for monitoring the data associated with local and federal compliance including; CALPADS, District oversight, School's Nutrition Program, and emergency plan & procedures.

The Compliance and Student Data Manager's primary duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Compiles, reviews and submits data for all federal, state, county, and district reports, including annual district oversight visit
  • Oversees the management of the school's Student Information System, Illuminate
  • Manages all aspects of the National School Lunch Program including o disseminates and collection of meal applications o completes annual SFA application, and providing support for state audits as necessary o trains staff on all compliance related procedures around the school lunch program and monitors school sites on a regular basis o liaises with meal vendor for ordering and monitors actual consumption to minimize waste o compiles, reviews and analyzes data for State nutrition program reports
  • Submits annual data files to CALPADS and is the point person for changes related to student data in the system • Manages school-wide emergency preparedness, including annually assessing and recommending revisions to the school's safety plan, training staff in emergency procedures, maintenance of inventory or appropriate emergency supplies
  • Liaise with insurance company for incident reports and insurance claims • Supports school-based operations where needed • Other duties as assigned.

Specialized Qualifications

• Experience working at a school or a busy office setting (highly preferred)
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish Required
