A well established international school in Malaysia, close to Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an experienced Middle School History Lead Teacher (Years 8-11) to join them in August 2018.

The school offers a salary between 10,000 to 11,000 RMB (~$1,564-1,720/2,028-2,231 CAD) with housing allowance plus flights and medical insurance. It would suit single teachers or married teaching couples without dependents as tuition is not provided for staff children.

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching qualification such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Masters in Education or Bachelors of Education. Our jobs are not teaching English as a Foreign Language, and a TEFL certificate alone is not sufficient teacher training.

The school is traditional in its approach and sees the importance of establishing a healthy balance between the two; the school puts a significant emphasis on discipline, respect, honesty and loyalty. 

 

Lead teachers should have at least 5 years of post qualification teaching experience. UK experience is preferred but the quality of the teacher is more important. Teachers must also be over 27.
