Elementary Technology Facilitator, Grades K-5: Requirements are a valid Arkansas Teacher's License with grade level appropriate certification, successful completion of Teacher Excellence Support System Evaluator credentialing, and ability and willingness to use and teach students and staff current and future technologies for instruction and support. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting elementary staff (grades K-5) in learning about, becoming proficient with, and applying instructional technology. Provides training and support to the elementary staff and students on technology integration, delivery of instructional materials through the use of technology and related products. Assists and advises with identifying, acquiring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network products. Assists with building level and district level technology plans. 207-day contract with an excellent fringe benefits package. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following is a list of essential functions for the position of Technology Facilitator. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Conducts professional development sessions with teachers and administrators in the implementation of technology as tools in the classroom.

Assist teachers on a one to one basis in the installation and implementation of technology.

Acts as a liaison between teachers/administrators and the technology department is solving problems that affect the effective use of technology as a tool for learning.

Acts as the district administrator for voucher accounts, making sure the vouchers are used for the staff members they were purchased for and that staff has access to the apps.

Conducts summer professional development on an as needed basis while off-contract for compensation at the hourly rate.

Sits on the District technology committee, as requested.

Attends Principal meetings and communicates effectively with principals, assistant principals, staff, and create effective relationships with technicians as part of the effective integration of technology.

Participates in training geared toward the administration of the Common Core State Standards assessment program, and train district personnel in the requirements for and skills necessary for testing online.

Teaches instructors to use instructional technology or to integrate technology with teaching.

Presents and makes recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instruction delivery options.

Provides technical advice on the use of current instructional technologies, including computer-based training, desktop videoconferencing, multimedia, and distance learning technologies.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree with a valid Arkansas Teacher's License with grade

appropriate certification.

Experience: Experience with teaching utilizing available technology and teaching, preferred.

Computer Skills: Ability to use and learn existing and newly emerging technologies as related to instruction.

Certificates & Licenses: Valid Arkansas Teaching License, with grade level appropriate certification.
