Qualifications: 48 College Credit Hours or the ability to pass a State Approved Assessment within 90 days of employment.
Reports To: Physical Education Instructors & Building Principal
Supervises: Students
BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
The Physical Education Aide is a team member who works under the supervision of the Physical Education Teacher. The aide frees the professional from routine daily task, supervisory duties, and also serves as a part of the instructional team. The aide carries out the educational program developed by the Physical Education Teacher and support personnel.

The employee performing the duties of this position is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, bend, stoop, and reach. The employee may be occasionally required to manually lift, move, or carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to interact with staff and meet the demands of several different people. The employee is responsible for the work output of others. The employee occasionally works extended hours. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- Supervision of the gymnasium and locker rooms.
- Check attendance and permission slips.
- Organize equipment before class begins.
- Encourage students to follow school policies.
- Assist in instruction.
- Officiate team games.
- Check out and check in equipment
- Update inventory of equipment as needed.
- Keep fitness equipment sanitized and fitness room organized for daily use.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Physical Education Instructors and Building Principal.
Salary Range: Pay will range from $12.29 to $13.29 per hour.
Evaluation Frequency: Job performance will be evaluated a minimum of 1 time per year.
