Thomas Edison Charter School is in search of an experienced and qualified Assistant Program Coordinator for our After-School and Summer Enrichment programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Program Coordinator with all aspects of running the after school and summer camp programs.
  • Assist Program Coordinator to establish and maintain regular contacts with program stakeholders and explains policies, procedures and program requirements to the general public.
  • Assist with supervision of all program staff.
  • Assist with attaining program vendors, arranging transportation for program activities, and ordering program supplies and materials
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining a variety of records, reports and summaries relative to the program including entering required data into the 21 st CCLC reporting system, student attendance records, and eSchool Plus statewide pupil accounting systems
  • Assist with the use and complete requirements of Self-Assessment Tool.
  • Attend all required DDOE sponsored technical assistance and professional development activities.
  • Attend state, regional or national conference on quality programming for school age youth in extended learning opportunities e.g. the 21 st Century Community Learning Center Summer Institute.
  • Assist with the tracking and monitoring students with truancy concerns.
  • Work with families to improve student attendance.
  • Assist with truancy arraignment process.
  • Assist in maintaining required staff and student files.
  • Assist with monitoring & tracking required staff training to meet OCCL licensing regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Training and Experience:
  • Prior experience working in an After-Care / Summer Camp program in an administrative level is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and/or team leader.
  • Organizational skills and leadership ability.
  • Prior experience with staff supervision.
  • Prior experience with Purchase of Care administration is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience working with 21 st CCLC Grant and eSchool Plus statewide pupil accounting system is a plus.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.


Start Date: Immediately

Reports To: Program Coordinator

Salary Range: From/To: Commensurate with experience.
