  • JOB TITLE: Manager of Student Assessment and Testing
    LOCATION: Lower Campus
    WORK YEAR: 260 work days, Monday - Friday
    WORK STATUS: Full Time, Exempt
    REPORTS TO: Chief Academic Officer

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    This position will be a key member of district and building PLC teams and will manage data in order to identify trends, improve practice and inform decision making at all levels.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Prepare instructional surveys and Assessment Data reports.
    2. Assists schools in formative and summative data management.
    3. Direct and monitor student achievement information on Infinite Campus and Alpine Achievement.
    4. Training for teachers on Alpine Achievement and/or other data warehouse assessment development.
    5. Assist in the development and implementation in appropriate assessments and data collections.
    6. Facilitate the collection of student achievement data and its analysis for organization-wide needs.
    7. Coordinate the revision of school learning plans including UIP Plans.
    8. Serve as member of relevant committees.
    9. Direct coordination of all state assessments including WIDA, SAT, PSAT, CMAS and others.
    10. Assess and recommend data software and assessment programs.
    11. Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the Superintendent or CAO.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    Education and related work experience:
    • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
    • Three (3) years of experience teaching or related field.
    • Proficient with MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Proficient in student data and assessment systems.
    • Strong experience and understanding of data and student information along with assessment systems as they relate to instruction.
    • Strong understanding of formative assessment practices as they relate to assessment of student proficiency.
    • Administrative experience preferred.

    ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions required the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling: and signification fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires sitting, walking, and standing. This job is performed in generally a clean and healthy environment.

    CLEARANCE:
    Must clear background check through the CBI and the FBI through Fingerprint submission.

    SALARY:
    Salary is $55,286 - $61,984 per year and is based upon previous related experience. The annual salary for this position will be determined by number of hours scheduled to work each day and number of days scheduled to work each year. The computed annual salary will be spread out in equal payments over 12 months. Sheridan School District employees are paid once a month on the 1st working day of the month that is not a weekend day or holiday.

    BENEFITS:
    Employees who are scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week in the 2018/2019 school year are eligible to obtain district health benefits which include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and supplemental benefits. Positions that qualify for health benefits also qualify for leave which could include vacation and daily leave to be determined by the position and number of days assigned. Sheridan School District No. 2 is a public employer and participates in the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA). All employees are required by statute to contribute 8% of salary on a pre-tax basis to PERA. The District also contributes a 20.15% in addition to the employee contribution.
