Manager Class IC

The Cincinnati Public Schools invite applications for the position of Manager Class I-C (Support Services). The purpose of this announcement is to establish a list of eligible candidates for this Manager Class I-C
(Support Services) position.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The successful candidate shall have the training, skills and ability necessary to:
- Visit and complete monitoring form to insure proper service and documentation of the After School Snack Program.
- Act as Itinerant Manager as needed.
- Assist managers with trouble shooting computer problems and online banking.
- Assist schools with vending machine maintenance and updates.
- Provide back up coverage for Lunchroom Managers implementing special programs.
- Provide additional training for Lunchroom Managers on job duties, tasks, and assignments.
- Assist with testing new and bid food products.
- Assists with execution and ordering in Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.
- Provide assistance in the implementation of new service, new lines, and new products.
- Other special projects as assigned.
- Reports to: BOFS Assistant Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT PROVISIONS
- Experience managing High School operations is preferred.
- Must be able to work as needed, including but not limited to 8 hours as needed.
- Class 1C Managers- will be considered for a transfer .
- Regular Lunchroom Managers and Food Service Helpers on promotional list - will be considered for promotion.
- Candidate must have reliable transportation.
- Strong Working knowledge of current Point of Sale system, payroll, and a variety of software applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must be able to think in terms of the district as a whole rather than individual school only.
- Seniority governs in transfer requests only when ability, training and past appraisals are equal.
