Essential Functions:
Teaches students the principles of design through disciplines such as drawing, painting, photography, metals and sculpture.
Teacher needs a high degree of graphic/drawing skills. Skills should include knowledge of technical problems, materials and software.
Demonstrates the ability to incorporate the use of technology into curriculum as it relates to art.
Encourages student creativity
Ability to assess students and differentiate instruction to meet all students92 abilities.
Demonstrates the ability to become a valuable and contributing member of the staff, including work with co-curricular and enrichment activities.
Demonstrated knowledge secondary Art curriculum Academic Standards.
Willingness to participate in County and State art shows.
Ability to use effective classroom management techniques creating a positive and supportive education environment.
Strong organizational and leadership skills and the ability to work with parents, community, students, other teachers and administrators in collaborative settings.
Qualifications

1. Must hold a valid Colorado teaching license or authorization.
   
2. Must meet content-area qualifications, which could include the appropriate license endorsement, degree in the content area, Colorado State Board of Education-approved content exam, or 36 credit hours as determined by the district.
