POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Intermediate District 287 is seeking qualified candidates for a Chinese Teacher position. This teaching position is comprised of .4 assigned to Westonka High school teaching 2 high school classes and .6 teaching through the online Interactive TV option (ITV) or Northern Star Online Chinese instruction program for a total of 1.0 FTE.

This class is accountable for facilitating learning, academic achievement and personal development by providing instruction to children, adolescents and adults. Develops and implements curriculum and lesson plans. Utilizes technology to facilitate learning. Understands the varying learning styles and the needs of a diverse student population.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, current teaching licensure in Chinese, issued by the Minnesota Department of Education, strong Chinese and English language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
