POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as a school-based support in instructional technology and assists in creating an environment that is conducive to 21st century learners. Assists in providing development opportunities for teachers/staff pertaining to the effective use of digital resources and activities to enhance student achievement. This position will report to the local school principal in collaboration with the Department of Instructional Technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Collaborate with teachers and other instructional staff to develop Common Core curriculum materials and multidisciplinary lesson plans that integrate technology to help students develop and enhance their 21st century skills.
  • Collaborate with the school media specialist to provide leadership in the school's use of instructional technology resources to enhance learning.
  • Models the delivery of curriculum resources and lessons that facilitate the implementation of the school technology plan.
  • Coach teachers to improve teacher effectiveness in best practice technology integration.
  • Lead the coordination of and conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions with school staff to increase effective technology integration.
  • Develop and implement technology-infused collaborative projects that assist students in building understanding and problem solving.
  • Participate with school technology committees to identify instructional goals and objectives and develop long-range technology plans to accomplish them.
  • Assess teacher's technology proficiency to develop and deliver differentiated professional development for teachers based on their identified needs and student data.
  • Prepare, submit and present accurate reports and information about educational technology for internal and external communication.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
  • Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to plan and understand curriculum and instruction, create technology-rich lessons based on standards based instruction.
  • Support technology integration and 21st century Learning in all areas of instruction.
  • Communicate effectively with school leadership, staff and students.
  • Model classroom lessons and deliver and plan effective professional learning.


Requirements : EDUCATION:
  • Master's degree one of the following areas: Educational Leadership, Instructional Technology, Library Media Sciences and Curriculum Instruction.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
  • Possess Georgia Professional Standards Commission Certification Level 5 (L5) GaPSC Certification or higher in leadership and applicable T5 certification.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Three (3) years Teaching/Media Specialist/Instructional Technology Experience.


Compensation : SALARY GRADE: 132
SALARY RANGE: $59, 660 to $82, 033
WORK DAYS: 211
