Summary
Working under supervision of the school principal, assists in administrative tasks of the school in accordance with school board policies and uses leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student and the professional growth of each teacher.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications : Master's Degree from and accredited college or university in Educational Leadership or Administration and Supervision. Possess or be eligible for professional certification in the State of Louisiana as a teacher with a minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience, and possess or be eligible for professional certification in the State of Louisiana as a Principal. Parish or City Supervisor of Instruction preferred but not required.

Summary

- Assists in supervising the continuing review and improvement of all aspects of the school program.Assists in investigating, evaluating and implementing instructional changes on the school level.
- Assists in the selection, assignment, orientation, and evaluation of staff.Assists in developing and implementation of effective community relations program
- Provides educational leadership by creating an environment conducive to teaching and learningAssists in administering and supervising all school activitiesAssists in planning, preparing, and distribution of student and teacher handbooksAssists in interpreting and administering policies, rules and regulations, established by the legislature, by state and local boards of education, school district administration, and school administrationEstablishes and maintaining process for daily accounting of attendance of all studentsAssists in monitoring teacher duty postAssists in administering the total school health program, including student insurance, school immunization records, student and employee accident reports, and providing basic first aid until professional care is availableAssists in providing plant and campus securityPrepares and submit reports as required for the effective operation of school facilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned by the principal or designee
