Method Schools is dedicated to providing breakthrough educational tools and
practices that deliver maximum results for all students. The Method educational program
is made up of a combination of data-driven practices and experiential learning in a
blended and virtual environment to challenge and engage students. The Blended Learning
Language Arts Teacher reports to the Head of Schools and is a facilitator of the effective
implementation and of the educational program. Teachers will work closely with students
enrolled in online courses and for on-site courses that are rigorous and require consistent
instructional support along with adherence to independent study regulations.
Key Responsibilities of Blended Learning Language Arts Teacher include:
Provide online instruction and guidance
1) Conduct instructional classes virtually using Blackboard Connect platform
2) Monitor the progress and learning of students through online platforms and
systems
3) Implement effective interventions to ensure student success
4) Deliver instruction and assistance to students through virtual classroom
environment and in face-to- face tutoring sessions
5) Provide timely feedback to students and parents
Facilitate and refine the Method educational program
1) Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrative staff
2) Create, implement and continue to refine supplemental projects and lessons
aligned to the online curriculum 
3) Ensure effective use of technological systems and independent study policies and
procedures
4) Collect and manage student work and attendance per independent study policies
5) Ensure procedures that maximize efficiency and compliancy within independent
study requirements
 
Education and Experience Guidelines 
 Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
 Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in a non-traditional,
hybrid, blended or virtual setting.
 License and Certification Requirements
 A valid California teaching license in Language Arts; or proof of pending
approved licensure
