   License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia teaching certification required.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Three years of successful teaching experience required. Experience working with common assessments, data analysis, and local school assessment use preferred,

Skills Qualifications: Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects concurrently; ability to create and deliver professional learning that supports the direction of the Accountability and Assessment Office that supports the vision, mission, and goals of the district; strong communication skills, both in oral and written format; strong technology skills, including assessment platforms and Microsoft Office Suite programs; knowledge of data analysis and interpretation of data; knowledge and application of research-based instructional strategies in technical writing; knowledge of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum with in-depth knowledge of techniques for integrating curriculum, GCPS policies, and effective instructional practices; ability to work successfully with colleagues; ability to project and generate a positive attitude; and ability to effect change.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for professional learning development and delivery, data collection and evaluation, and various tasks that support the development, revision, and implementation of the comprehensive GCPS assessment preparation program for measurement of the district's Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS).

1. Provide professional learning opportunities for schools, including targeted schools and teachers, on various components of assessment literacy.
a. Facilitate professional learning for the Assessment Leadership Team members on assessment design, including, Deconstructing the Standards/Learning Targets, Depth of Knowledge (DOK), creation and revision of formative and common assessments, text complexity, and data protocols.
b. Facilitate professional development for administrators to lead and monitor assessment development in their schools.
c. Work collaboratively with the assessment team to create online training modules on various topics of assessment literacy.
d. Work collaboratively with the Office of Assessment to provide various types of professional development, including Curriculum Embedded Performance Task and Gateway training.
e. Provide on-going training and support to ensure teachers use research-based best practices in assessment development.
f. Collaborate with coaches throughout the division to provide support for schools on the alignment of curriculum, assessment, and instruction.

2. Collaborate with the Assessment Office to develop and provide resources designed to support schools in the development of formative and common assessment development.
a. Provide assessment audits of formative and common assessments.
b. Create documents for administrators and teachers to use in the development and analysis of formative and common assessments.
c. Create training materials for professional learning targeted for schools' specific assessment needs.
d. Support the Assessment Office in the development, quality control, and revisions of all district-created assessments, including district, Student Performance Goals (SPGs), Curriculum Embedded Performance Tasks, and Gateway Assessments.

3. Effectively analyze and use assessment data to lead data talks to impact student achievement.
a. Work with teachers to analyze district assessment results including item and standard analysis.
b. Support teachers in monitoring data from a variety of sources to support teachers in identifying areas of strengths and weaknesses to plan for enrichment and remediation.

4. Act as a catalyst for change to support teaching and learning.
a. Work well with colleagues and demonstrate and maintain productive and positive interpersonal skills.
b. Develop educator capacity, implement practices of collaborative inquiry in reference to assessment design and analysis, and build sustainability.
c. Support and implement district initiatives.
d. Manage multiple projects effectively.
e. Manage time and schedules flexibly in a way that maximizes teacher/leader learning.
f. Build and maintain confidential relationships with teachers, leaders, and colleagues.

5. Serve on committees/task forces as an ad hoc member where appropriate.
a. Summarize work on a regular basis and communicate with stakeholders as appropriate.
b. Complete tasks with high quality under defined deadlines.
c. Manage projects through strong organization, detailed plans, and balancing of multiple priorities.

6. Interpret district and program philosophy, goals, and objectives to various audiences.
a. Establish trust, rapport, and credibility within the district.
b. Communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders in both oral and written forms.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
