Job Description

The Community Group seeks a school leader for one of our elementary schools. This position would be joining a highly successful collaborative team to deliver curriculum and quality instruction to second language learners. The Head of School will have related education and teaching experience in elementary education with literacy and language development as a focus. The position requires a willingness to collaborate as a member of a highly motivated team, and will provide leadership and support the teaching team.

Role:
- Supporting student academic achievement
- Mentoring classroom Co-teaching teams, Literacy Coaches and Learning Specialists
- Holding teachers accountable for meeting high standards for student academic and behavioral performance

Qualifications:
- Proven success as a classroom teacher
- A passionate belief in the school's mission, values, and educational model
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience supervising and/or mentoring staff
- Related degree
