The Peoria Unified School District #11, Glendale, Arizona, Governing Board, is seeking a highly qualified and fully certified Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position July 1, 2018.
McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the governing board in identifying and screening the candidates.

Location: 10 miles northwest of Phoenix

The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership. The board recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of the most important decisions it will make. The board has identified the following desired characteristics:
The successful candidate:
- Has a high degree of personal character and proven record of being courageous, resilient and has earned a reputation for being honest, ethical, and transparent.
- Is an academic leader who is confident, collaborative and engaging with staff, students, parents and the community with the ability to leverage these skills to positively influence district outcomes.
- Is knowledgeable of school finance and bond referendums and has experience working in districts that are similar to Peoria.
- Is results oriented, understands and applies the use of data in decision-making and has an innovative vision for the future of education for the students in Peoria.
